Eurocolour, the European umbrella organisation for manufacturers of pigments, dyes, fillers and ceramic decoration products, has elected a new Presidential Board. The election took place during the company’s General Assembly in Madrid on January 29, 2025.

Auer will be joined by Wolfgang Oehlert from Lanxess Deutschland GmbH, Ulrich Veith from Colors & Effects Switzerland AG and Julian Hohberger from Bruchsaler Farbenfabrik GmbH & Co. In addition to the new members, Francisco Nácher from Fritta S. L. U. has been re-elected as Vice President. The company also re-elected several board members, including Guiseppe Abello from Ceramicolor, Manuel Bréva from ANFECC, Carlos Cerdán from Colorobbia España, S. A., Heike Liewald from VdMi and Francisco Ruvira from AL-Farben, S. A.
Eurocolour’s current focus is on the regulation and risk assessment of particles, as well as the regulation of food contact materials such as plastics and ceramics. The company is also closely monitoring the EU Commission’s ‘Clean Industrial Deal’ and ‘Chemicals Industry Package.’
In a statement, Auer emphasized the importance of the company’s expert groups and the need for a science-based, transparent regulatory environment.
“The professional scientific and technical work of our expert groups will remain as a ‘must-have’ of Eurocolour,” Auer said. “While an intensive dialogue with regulators on a science-based, transparent regulatory environment for industrial production must target the best for end-consumers, secure workplaces and protection of natural resources.”
Eurocolour is the umbrella association for the manufacturers of pigments, dyes, fillers, frits, ceramic and glass colours and ceramic glazes in Europe.
