Arkema Expands Bio-Attributed Resin Production

Arkema announced that its acrylic and liquid polyester resins production site in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, has received ISCC PLUS certification, expanding the company’s bio-attributed material offerings. The certification supports Arkema’s global mass balance roadmap, providing customers across industries with lower carbon footprint solutions for applications in coatings, adhesives, green mobility, infrastructure efficiency, and more.
“This certification expands the availability of Arkema advanced liquid resins solutions from renewable origin with a lower product carbon footprint. It offers a new range of bio-attributed materials, reinforcing the already existing bio-based resins and additives offer containing up to 100% biobased content,” said Yoon Hock Chong, managing director of ACRM Coating Solutions Southeast Asia.
The certification follows similar ISCC PLUS certifications at Arkema’s manufacturing sites in the United States, Europe, and China. The company plans to progressively introduce a full range of bio-attributed specialty resins and additives, including high-solids, waterborne, UV/LED/EB, and polyester powders.
