Pittsburgh Paints Co. announced Oxford Brown as the 2025 Stain Color of the Year, selected by its woodcare brands Olympic® Stains, Pittsburgh Paints & Stains™, and Flood® wood finishes. The versatile, earthy hue blends amber and russet tones, offering a rustic charm suitable for both contemporary and traditional exterior designs.

Oxford Brown was among the top five tinted stain colors in 2024 and continues to gain traction with homeowners preparing for exterior projects. The color is suited for both modern and vintage aesthetics and can be used on decks, outdoor furniture, and wood features that need refreshing.

The company recommends Oxford Brown in several products: Olympic Maximum® Semi-Transparent stain and sealant, Pittsburgh Paints & Stains Paramount™ Exterior stain and sealant, and Flood Pro Series Semi-Transparent stain and sealant. A solid-color stain version is also available for added durability on weathered wood.
