Behr Names ‘Cracked Pepper’ as 2024 Color of the Year

Behr Paint Company announced Cracked Pepper (PPU18-01) as its 2024 Color of the Year. The soft black tone is part of the BEHR® Designer Collection and is designed to evoke confidence while offering versatility across design styles.
According to Behr’s research, 74% of Americans would consider using a dark color indoors, with 57% saying darker walls create a designer aesthetic. Cracked Pepper responds to this shift, offering a dramatic yet approachable hue for both interior and exterior applications.
