PPG announced its third year of partnership with ScienceFest (“VedaFest”), the largest open-air science event in Czechia, which recently took place in Prague and drew more than 14,000 attendees. The company hosted interactive workshops and quizzes to inspire interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education.
“As a main partner for the third year, we aimed to inspire young minds through engaging activities that demonstrate how coatings and chemistry connect to the world around us,” said Jan Sipan, PPG market director, Czechia, architectural coatings.
Students participated in hands-on experiments such as creating 3D volcano models and observing color-changing chemical reactions. Attendees also took part in educational quizzes focused on color and coatings applications.
“Our partnership and collaboration with PPG is truly inspiring and enables us to create an engaging and educational program for curious visitors of all ages,” said Irena Krumlova, ScienceFest manager.
PPG’s global community engagement initiatives and the PPG Foundation contributed $18.4 million in 2024 to organizations in more than 30 countries, supporting STEM education and local communities.
