The Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) announced the AMPP LatinCORR + Panamerican Corrosion Conference, taking place July 17–18 at the Hilton Panama in Panama City, Panama. This is the first time the two leading corrosion events are hosted together, offering a regional platform for technical exchange and collaboration.
The event features more than 60 technical presentations and panels on topics including cathodic protection, coatings, corrosion mechanisms, asset integrity and sustainability. Attendees will hear a keynote address from AMPP CEO Alan Thomas, titled “The State of AMPP and Corrosion Prevention in Latin America,” as well as talks such as “Corrosion Management and Integrity Planning in Marine and Energy Terminals” by Juan Caballero, and a panel on infrastructure chaired by Edwin Enrique Soria Juárez.
Juan Caballero, who chairs both the conference and the AMPP board of directors, said the initiative aims to enhance regional cooperation and professional development across Latin America.
Additional agenda highlights include two hands-on workshops, exhibits of corrosion control technologies, networking opportunities and complimentary passes for students and professors.
