PPG announced the renewal of its joint venture agreement in India with Asian Paints Ltd., extending the partnership through 2041. The renewal will allow the companies to continue supplying industrial, protective, marine, packaging, automotive and powder coatings customers across the country.

The partnership began in 1997 with the formation of PPG Asian Paints Private Ltd., and expanded in 2012 with the creation of Asian Paints PPG Private Ltd. Under the renewed agreement, PPG will retain management control of PPG Asian Paints Private Ltd., while Asian Paints will continue to manage Asian Paints PPG Private Ltd.

“This decades-long relationship is a key success factor for our business in India,” said Tim Knavish, PPG chairman and CEO.
