BYK Establishes New Subsidiary
BYK announced the establishment of BYK do Brasil, a new company headquartered in São Paulo, to strengthen its presence and customer proximity in South America. Carlos Roberto C. Duarte Coelho has been appointed managing director. The subsidiary will handle local marketing, sales, and technical service functions, serving as a direct point of contact for customers in Brazil and beyond.
“By establishing BYK do Brasil and putting Carlos Coelho in charge, we at BYK are underlining our ambitions in South America,” said Dr. Stefan Mößmer, managing director marketing and commercial at BYK. “There is a steady upwards trend in developments in the region, and they offer potential for further growth and an even more intensive proximity to customers.”
The company cited demand growth in the paints and coatings, plastics applications, and cosmetics sectors as key drivers for this expansion. From September 23 to 25, BYK will also showcase its latest additive innovations for the coatings industry at Booth B01 during the ABRAFATI SHOW in São Paulo.
