The Protech Group, a global manufacturer of liquid and powder coatings, architectural paints and specialty polymer-based materials with 15 manufacturing sites worldwide, announced the acquisition of LOES Enterprises, Inc. on September 5, 2025. LOES is a custom compounder of PVC plastisol and related products based in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Founded nearly 50 years ago, LOES has built its reputation by listening to customers and creating plastisols that provide practical solutions to real-world challenges. With a commitment to efficient processing, competitive pricing and customer service, LOES has become a trusted name in the plastisol market.

Protech

The manufacturing operations of LOES will be integrated into Chemionics, Protech’s Specialty Material Division in Tallmadge, Ohio, which specializes in bespoke plastisol and latex formulations. Protech acquired Chemionics in 2017.

Customers of LOES will continue to access existing products while benefiting from Protech’s broader global network of technologies and solutions. Headquartered in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, Protech operates with more than 1,500 employees worldwide and offers a portfolio that includes thermoset and thermoplastic powder coatings, industrial liquid paints, adhesives and specialty polymers.
