BASF Coatings’ Surface Treatment global business unit, operating as Chemetall, received Airbus’ Supply Chain & Quality Improvement Program (SQIP) award for the tenth consecutive year, recognizing sustained delivery performance and quality for 2024. The ceremony took place at Airbus headquarters in Toulouse and honored suppliers that meet program benchmarks as production rates rise.
“We are very proud to receive the prestigious Airbus SQIP accreditation,” said Frank Naber, senior vice president, global Surface Treatment at BASF Coatings. “It is a testament to our commitment to deliver innovative and high-performing solutions across the value chain of the aerospace industry.”
Guillaume Larrieu, global key account manager Airbus at Chemetall, and Roland Wagner, SQIP coordinator, accepted the award. Chemetall supplies Airbus and its subcontractors from sites in Langelsheim, Germany, and Soissons, France, including Naftoseal aircraft sealing compounds, Ardrox corrosion protection products, Ardrox cleaners and pretreatment technologies.
The SQIP program reviews supplier performance annually, confirming standing or adjusting status based on quality compliance and delivery reliability.
