BASF Boosts Dispersions Capacity

BASF started up a new production line dedicated to dispersions for architectural coatings and construction materials at its Dilovası, Türkiye, site. The expansion increases capacity and extends the regional product portfolio to meet rising demand and support innovation. The site supplies customers in Türkiye, the Middle East and Northwest Africa.
The line produces low-VOC dispersions and enables CO2-reduced products through BASF’s mass balance approach. The facility will operate on green electricity.
“With the start up of the new production line in Dilovası, we are well positioned to meet our customers’ growing demand for innovative dispersions in Türkiye, the Middle East, and Northwest Africa,” said Dr. Jörg Niebergall, senior vice president, Dispersions Europe. “This expansion is a valuable addition to our regional production network, strengthening our resilience and capability to supply high-quality dispersions to all our customers. Our ability to deliver strongly CO2-reduced products from our site in Dilovası clearly shows our ambition to be the preferred chemical company to enable our customers’ green transformation.”
“Our key objectives are to improve our supply reliability, increase product volume and provide flexibility within the production lines,” said Bahadir Bayraktar, site manager, Dilovası. “I am proud that our new technology will enable us to deliver low-VOC dispersions to the market.”
The Dilovası site, operating for 55 years near Istanbul, strengthens BASF’s regional network and supports the company’s broader sustainability goals.
