Borchers, a Milliken brand announced the launch of Borchi® Kat 2115, a next generation tin-free catalyst engineered for polyurethane coatings. Increasing global regulations are mandating stricter labeling on dibutyltin dilaurate (DBTDL) and 2-ethylhexanoate (2EH) in coatings. The catalyst was developed as a combination of neodecanoate metals.This next generation catalyst has been tested across a range of applications, including general industrial, protective and marine, and automotive refinish coatings. Key benefits include optimal drying times, longer pot life, superior hardness, excellent corrosion resistance, and stable gloss/color retention.
