Wacker Chemical Honors Two Longest-Serving Team Members

Wacker Chemical Corporation (WCC) announced a milestone achievement at its production site in Calvert City. The facility is home to two of the longest-serving employees across the company’s global operations. Kevin Diamond and James Eaves have dedicated a combined 112 years of service to the company, exemplifying commitment, expertise and loyalty.
Diamond and Eaves joined the company in 1965 and 1973, respectively. Each has spent decades contributing to the success and growth of the Calvert City site and to WCC’s reputation in the polymer binders industry serving the construction, paint and coatings, adhesives and specialized textiles markets.
“Having just one employee with this level of tenure is rare in today’s world,” said DJ Lutz, site director overseeing WCC operations in Calvert City. “To have two of the longest-serving team members in the entire company here at our site is nothing short of extraordinary. Kevin and James embody the dedication and pride that make our company what it is today.”
Over the years, both employees have witnessed and helped lead the site through change and progress, including the seamless post-sale transition of Air Products polymers business to Wacker, construction of the dispersion reactor ensuring continuous raw material supply and supply security, expanding the position as a global technology and market leader for VAE-based VINNAPAS® dispersions, and helping the site achieve awards for safety and accident-free operations. Their institutional knowledge and work ethic have made them mentors and role models to generations of employees.
Kevin Diamond, WackerReflecting on their time at the company, Diamond shared, “It’s been an honor to grow with this company and see how much it’s accomplished. The people here are like family.” Eaves added, “I’ve always been proud to be part of this team and help make a difference every day.”
