Online registration for the 53rd Annual International Waterborne, High-Solids and Powder Coatings Symposium will close Feb. 4, 2026 at midnight.
The symposium will be held Feb. 8–10, 2026 and will include technical presentations focused on waterborne, high-solids and powder coatings technologies. The 2026 plenary speaker is Jaime Grunlan, professor of mechanical engineering at Texas A&M University, who will present “Super Gas Barrier and Self-Extinguishing Polymers with Aqueous Polyelectrolyte Complex Coatings.”
The 2026 keynote address, the Sidney Lauren Memorial Lecture, will be delivered by Sarah E. Morgan, professor at The University of Southern Mississippi. Her lecture is titled “High Strain-rate Mechanical Properties of Phase Separated Block Copolymers.”
In addition to the technical program, short courses will be offered prior to the symposium covering fundamentals of coatings, reformulation to waterborne systems, formulating science mobile laboratory training and Sustainability 8 certification.
