3M has named WACKER a “Supplier of the Year 2025,” recognizing the company’s supply management, service and supply chain performance.

The award was presented during 3M’s supplier recognition event in St. Paul, Minnesota. Raman Trikala, global key accounts manager for 3M, and Ian Moore, head of the Consumer & Healthcare business unit, accepted the award on behalf of WACKER.

Each year, several thousand companies are evaluated for the recognition. Seven suppliers were selected from approximately 6,000 applicants in the most recent review cycle.

During the event, Kelly Bysouth, chief procurement officer for 3M, cited WACKER’s service and operational performance. According to Bysouth, the company successfully navigated complex shipping logistics while maintaining consistent supply chain delivery.

WACKER has supplied specialty chemical materials to 3M for many years, including silicone elastomers, silicone resins, dispersions and polymeric binders.

The company also reported increased demand for high-consistency silicones linked to grid expansion and new data center construction associated with artificial intelligence growth.

“Almost all business units in the Silicones division now supply the technology group, and not only in the US,” said Raman Trikala, global key accounts manager for 3M. “We also deliver silicones to 3M locations in Italy, Japan, and even in China.”

WACKER previously received recognition from 3M through the company’s supplier performance evaluation program.
