BASF Raises Prices for Key Coatings Intermediate

BASF announced it is increasing prices for neopentyl glycol (Neol®) in Europe, effective immediately or as existing contracts permit.
The company said the price for neopentyl glycol will increase by €350 per metric ton.
Neopentyl glycol is a polyalcohol used as an intermediate in the production of polyester resins for coatings, as well as in unsaturated polyester resins, lubricants and plasticizers.
