PCI Expands Editorial Advisory Board With New Regulatory Voice

Terri Stewart, vice president of regulatory affairs at the Canadian Coatings Association, has joined the Editorial Advisory Board of Paint & Coatings Industry Magazine (PCI), bringing more than 20 years of experience in science-based regulation, policy and industry collaboration to the publication’s advisory group.
Stewart joined the Canadian Coatings Association in October 2025 following leadership roles at CropLife Canada and nearly 17 years with Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency, where she worked in senior scientific and regulatory positions. Her background includes expertise in regulatory systems, stakeholder engagement and policy development tied to the chemistry sector.
PCI’s Editorial Advisory Board helps guide editorial planning and technical coverage across the paint and coatings industry while also supporting initiatives such as abstract review and technical programming for the annual Coatings Trends & Technologies (CTT) Summit. Board members represent a cross-section of the industry, including manufacturers, suppliers, consultants and regulatory organizations.
“As regulatory complexity continues to evolve globally, having strong scientific and regulatory perspectives represented within PCI’s Editorial Advisory Board is increasingly important,” said Courtney Bassett, chief editor of PCI. “Terri brings deep experience connecting technical, regulatory and industry viewpoints in ways that support practical outcomes for the coatings sector.”
The appointment also reflects growing collaboration between PCI and the Canadian Coatings Association.
“At a time of growing regulatory complexity, thoughtful, science-based dialogue is essential,” Stewart said. “I’m pleased to join PCI’s Editorial Advisory Board and contribute to collaboration that keeps regulatory approaches credible, effective and connected to real-world conditions.”
