Stahl launched Repura™, a barrier coatings portfolio for paper-based packaging applications.

The coating range is designed to help replace plastic materials in packaging while maintaining protection, functionality and shelf appeal. The portfolio provides barrier protection against oil and grease, water, water vapor and oxygen transmission to help protect product and packaging integrity under demanding conditions.

The coatings are suitable and customizable for paper, board and flexible packaging applications, including direct food-contact applications. Stahl says paper-based packaging treated with the coatings remains recyclable and repulpable, supporting conversion from plastic-based films and foils.
