PPG Opens Automotive Coatings Color Creation Studio in China

PPG has opened an automotive coatings color creation studio at its Global Coatings Innovation Center in Tianjin, China.
The studio is equipped with tools intended to deliver high-precision color presentation and immersive client experiences, along with software designed to support automotive color development. PPG said the site will help automotive manufacturers respond to market trends and strengthen product competitiveness.
PPG also said the opening supports its continued work with Chinese automotive manufacturers, particularly in the growing new energy vehicle sector. The company’s global color database includes more than 3,000 color design samples, with approximately 400 new colors added each year.
