California Sports Surfaces Partners With Tennis Coach Michael Russell
California Sports Surfaces, a brand of ICP Group, has entered a partnership with former ATP player and tennis coach Michael Russell.
Russell will serve as a brand ambassador and contribute player and coaching perspectives to California Sports Surfaces’ technology-development efforts.
Russell reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 60 and was named the 2024 ATP Coach of the Year. He currently coaches professional tennis player Taylor Fritz.
California Sports Surfaces said Russell’s experience competing and coaching on high-performance courts will help inform the company’s focus on player comfort, safety and surface consistency.
The company’s recent surface technologies include CoolTop®, an acrylic court-surface technology designed to reduce heat buildup through solar reflectivity.
