Pittsburgh Paints Co. Sets Canadian Business on Standalone Course

The Pittsburgh Paints Company announced plans for its Canadian business to become a standalone company under the Canadian Industries Limited, or CIL, name.
The company said the revived CIL identity would encompass its Canadian architectural paint and stain operations, including the Dulux, Sico and Bétonel brands. The business is headquartered in Vaughan, Ontario, and operates across Canada.
The announcement also included the retirement of Vince Rea, who had led the Canadian business since 2019. Brendan Demler, president and general manager, commercial, and Tim Fisher, president and general manager, retail, were named to co-lead CIL, with Rea continuing in an advisory role during the transition.
