True Value Paint Program Reaches 171 Youth-Space Projects

The True Value Foundation awarded 171 Painting a Brighter Future grants in 2025 to support retailer-led projects serving children and teens.
The program provided participating stores across the United States and abroad with 3,420 gallons of paint for projects involving schools, Boys & Girls Clubs and youth-focused nonprofit organizations. The paint was expected to help refresh approximately 1.4 million sq ft of community spaces.
John Vanderpool, senior vice president of True Value Manufacturing and head of the True Value Foundation, said the program helps local retailers support organizations that serve young people in their communities.
Painting a Brighter Future is an annual initiative that provides paint and related supplies to retailers partnering with local organizations on improvement projects.
