Following the acquisition, perisens will be integrated into BYK-Gardner, which is headquartered in Geretsried, Bavaria. The employees of perisens will transfer to BYK.

The acquisition expands BYK’s measurement and testing instruments business into radar measurement technology for automotive applications. perisens’ Radome Measurement Systems, including the RMS-C and RMS-D series, are used in development, quality control and series-production testing by automakers, radar-sensor suppliers, plastic-component suppliers, paint manufacturers and pigment manufacturers.

perisens’ patented technology can be used in laboratory instruments and in measuring cells on robot-controlled production lines. The company said its systems support process control for coated plastic automotive components and can help customers improve the radar transparency of metallic automotive paints.
