Industrial Veteran Takes CFO Role at Qlar Group

Qlar Group has appointed Thomas Giese chief financial officer, succeeding Dirk Scholz.
Giese assumed the role in May 2026 and is responsible for accounting, controlling, treasury, tax and legal functions. The company said his priorities will include profitable growth, sustainable positive cash flow and improved operational performance.
Giese brings more than three decades of international industrial leadership and strategic business-development experience. His previous employers include Elster, GKN, IFA, BOS and KraussMaffei.

Giese said he plans to strengthen the company’s financial management and work with its business divisions to improve financial and operational performance.
Qlar Group, formerly known as Schenck Process, became part of private equity investor Everstone’s portfolio in May 2026. The company said the ownership structure is expected to support additional investment, growth and closer customer relationships.
