UV LED Curing System Adds Four Wide-Format Lengths

Excelitas has expanded its Phoseon® VeriCure™ Water-Cooled UV LED Curing System with four new lengths for high-speed industrial coating and printing applications.
The new 750-, 900-, 1,050- and 1,200-mm configurations join the existing 1,350-mm model. The expanded range is designed for wood and medium-density fiberboard processing, flooring, metal coating and commercial printing operations.
Each system combines an SLM array design with a high-efficiency water-cooling system to provide high optical power and dose performance. Available wavelengths include 365, 395 and 405 nm.
Key features include:
- Better than ±10% curing uniformity
- Independent control of LED modules across the irradiation area
- Segmented output control in 75-mm increments
- Instant on/off operation with adjustable output
- IP66-rated construction
- T-slot mounting for system integration
- Optional secondary glass to protect the primary window
- Support for OmniCure® AC Series, analog, Modbus TCP/IP and Phoseon CLIP communication protocols
Excelitas said the systems can reduce energy consumption by up to 60% compared with conventional mercury-vapor curing technologies. UV LED operation also eliminates mercury and ozone emissions and requires no lamp warm-up period.
“The expansion of the VeriCure portfolio to include these four new lengths gives our customers unmatched flexibility to configure a UV LED curing solution that precisely fits their process width requirements,” said Marvin Ruffin, product manager at Excelitas.
