APV Engineered Coatings and Pittsburgh Paints Company announced Building Renewal NeverFade, a water-based fluoropolymer coating for exterior building facades. Powered by Arkema’s Kynar Aquatec PVDF resin technology, the field-applied, air-dry system is designed to provide color retention, UV and weather resistance and exterior protection. PPC will serve as the exclusive distributor.
The coating meets SSPC Paint 47 standards for field-applied fluoropolymer topcoats, has low VOC content and carries a 15-year color-fade warranty covering materials and labor. It can be applied to concrete, masonry, stucco, aluminum, steel, vinyl and previously coated surfaces. Target users include architects, property managers, building owners and contractors.
The product’s combination of water-based PVDF chemistry and field application connects the launch to PCI’s broader coverage of durable architectural coatings and building-envelope protection.
