Stonebridge Coatings Laboratory Expands Michigan Facility

Stonebridge Coatings Laboratory expanded its Howell, Michigan, facility by acquiring adjacent space to increase its testing, formulation and custom-manufacturing capabilities.
The independent ISO 17025-accredited testing laboratory said customer demand has grown beyond testing and product development to include custom paint manufacturing. The additional space allows Stonebridge to produce coating batches exceeding 100 gallons while offering custom color matching and small-batch flexibility.
The expansion began operating in June 2026 and serves customers in architectural, automotive, industrial and specialty markets. Stonebridge also provides coatings evaluation, failure analysis, formulation development and product-validation services.
The expansion brings testing, formulation development, color matching and custom manufacturing into a broader single-site workflow for coatings customers.
