Arkema reported second-quarter EBITDA of €391 million, up 7.4% from €364 million a year earlier. Its EBITDA margin increased to 16.1% from 15.2%.
Organic sales grew 3.2%, supported by pricing and growth in Asia. Arkema said the improvement was driven largely by Adhesive Solutions, which benefited from industrial applications, and Coating Solutions, which recovered from its year-earlier performance. Advanced Materials was affected by weaker Performance Additives results.
The company said the Middle East conflict led to sharp raw material cost increases and supply-chain disruption, prompting pricing adjustments. Results included a €10 million foreign exchange headwind.
“We were particularly pleased with the significant improvement in Adhesives and Coatings as well as the better dynamics in HPP,” Chairman and CEO Thierry Le Hénaff said.
Arkema maintained its full-year guidance for EBITDA slightly above 2025 at constant exchange rates. The company expects Adhesive Solutions and Coating Solutions to contribute year-over-year growth during the second half.
