Mohsin Habib Chowdhury Takes Charge as Berger Paints Bangladesh CEO

Mohsin Habib Chowdhury has taken charge as chief executive officer and managing director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, according to a company announcement. The company’s R&D team, led by Chief R&D Officer Dr. ASM Obaidullah Mahmud, marked the leadership transition with a congratulatory event.
Chowdhury has worked with the organization for 31 years and has held several leadership positions during his career. He said research and development will remain central to the company’s innovation strategy, with a focus on using technology and product development to support sustainable growth.
The leadership transition comes as Berger Paints Bangladesh advances a Tk 980 crore manufacturing facility at the National Special Economic Zone in Mirsarai, Chattogram. According to the company, the facility is scheduled to begin operations in April 2027 and will incorporate advanced automation technologies.
Mahmud said Berger’s R&D operation is the first accredited laboratory in Bangladesh’s paint and coatings industry and that the company plans to continue expanding research, technology and product-development capabilities for domestic and international markets.
The leadership change comes as Berger Paints Bangladesh expands both manufacturing and R&D capabilities in a growing coatings market. Follow PCI’s Personnel Announcements coverage for additional leadership changes across the global coatings industry.
