PSA Tape Portfolio Expands Lower-Impact Material Options

Need to Know
- The Sustainable ADvantage portfolio includes transfer tapes and double-coated constructions using emulsion acrylic, pure emulsion acrylic and UV acrylic adhesive technologies.
- Portfolio criteria can include reduced material use, responsibly sourced materials, recycled or renewable content and improved end-of-life options.
Avery Dennison Performance Tapes North America has introduced its Sustainable ADvantage portfolio of pressure-sensitive adhesive tape solutions for manufactured parts and end-use products.
The initial portfolio includes transfer tapes and double-coated constructions based on three solvent-free acrylic adhesive technologies: emulsion acrylic, pure emulsion acrylic and UV acrylic. Avery Dennison says these technologies offer lower VOC emissions than comparable products using alternative adhesive technologies.
Products may also incorporate features such as FSC-certified paper liners, recycled or renewable content, reduced material use or improved recyclability, reuse or compostability where applicable. The company says the portfolio supports its broader goal of making its products recyclable by 2030.
