Talica Acquires Hard Anodize, Expands Metal Finishing Platform

Talica has acquired Hard Anodize Inc., a Minneapolis-area provider of precision aluminum anodizing and specialized surface-treatment services serving aerospace, defense, medical device and other high-performance industrial markets.
Hard Anodize has operated for more than 30 years and provides Type II anodizing, Type III hard anodizing, Type I chromate conversion coating, RoHS-compliant Type II conversion coating, precision masking and other surface treatments for mission-critical components. The company operates under an AS9100-certified quality management system, ISO 9001 certification and NADCAP process approvals.
The acquisition expands Talica’s presence in the Upper Midwest and adds to its existing capabilities in passivation, electropolishing, precision cleaning and other advanced surface treatments. Talica said the addition will strengthen its ability to serve aerospace, defense, medical device, semiconductor, pharmaceutical and other precision manufacturing customers across North America.
Talica was established in 2025 and is backed by JLL Partners. Its platform brings together specialized businesses focused on anodizing, surface treatment, electropolishing, passivation and high-purity services.
The acquisition continues consolidation in the specialized metal-finishing sector while expanding a growing national platform across anodizing, conversion coatings and other surface-treatment technologies.
