Stepan Raises European CASE Polyol Prices by €150/MT

Stepan Co. has increased prices for STEPANPOL CASE and specialty polyester polyols supplied from Europe by €150 per metric ton.
The increase took effect Sept. 1, 2026, or as contracts allow. Stepan attributed the adjustment to escalating raw-material, freight and energy costs.
The affected polyester polyols are supplied for coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers and other polyurethane applications. Stepan’s CASE portfolio includes polyester polyols designed for industrial coatings, flooring, adhesives and related high-performance systems.
A separate price action will take effect Oct. 1, 2026. Stepan will increase prices for STEPANPOL and TERATE rigid polyester polyols used in the Americas by $0.06 per pound, or as contracts allow.
The company also attributed the October increase to continued escalation in raw-material, freight and energy costs.
Stepan did not disclose current product prices or provide grade-specific adjustments beyond the announced regional increases.
The increases are relevant to coatings manufacturers following paint and coating resins and polymers, particularly polyester polyols used in polyurethane CASE formulations.
