Caliber Acquires 10-Shop Key Collision Network
Caliber has expanded into northern New England through the acquisition of Key Collision’s 10-location repair network.
The transaction gives Caliber its first collision repair centers in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont and expands the company’s national footprint to 44 states.
Key Collision operates a location in Portland, Maine; seven facilities in Concord, Keene, Manchester, Nashua, Portsmouth, Rochester and Salem, New Hampshire; and two centers in Colchester and South Burlington, Vermont.
Founded in 1992, Key Collision developed from a single body shop associated with a New Hampshire dealership into a regional collision-repair platform spanning three states.
Caliber said the acquired facilities will continue to provide access to established local repair teams, supported by the company’s national training, technology and calibration resources.
The company connected the expansion with growing repair complexity, an aging vehicle fleet and changing insurance-claims trends. Newer vehicles can require more specialized refinish processes, electronic diagnostics and calibration work following collision repairs.
Key Collision was represented by Focus Advisors. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Caliber’s portfolio includes more than 1,800 automotive service centers and encompasses Caliber Collision, Caliber Auto Glass and Caliber Fleet Solutions.
The transaction is relevant to PCI’s finishing news coverage because consolidation among collision-repair networks can influence refinish coatings purchasing, technician training and application-process standardization.
