Yenkin-Majestic Ceases Operations and Dissolves

The Yenkin-Majestic Paint Corporation has ceased operations and dissolved effective Aug. 18, 2026, according to a statement posted on the company’s website and a separate notice of dissolution to creditors and claimants.
The company says it sold its operating businesses to new owners before ending operations. Its website directs visitors to the continuing businesses but does not provide sale prices, transaction dates or other terms.
The formal notice states that any claim against the corporation, including conditional or contingent claims, must be submitted in writing within 60 days after the notice was given. It also provides instructions for submitting claims to the corporation.
Yenkin-Majestic had been a longtime Columbus-based manufacturer of coatings and resins. PCI ranked the company No. 14 in the 2022 PCI 25, based on reported 2021 coatings sales of $150 million. At that time, PCI described the company as a vertically integrated manufacturer serving consumer, industrial coatings and resin markets.
Neither the company statement nor the formal notice gives a reason for the dissolution.
The dissolution marks the end of a longtime North American coatings and resin corporation and represents a notable coatings company development for customers, suppliers and other industry stakeholders.
