UltiCoat Brings Three Finishing Facilities Under One Brand
Madison Lake Capital introduced UltiCoat Sept. 1 as a single brand bringing together Scott’s Industrial Coatings and Perfection Industrial Finishing operations in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona.
The platform combines Scott’s high-volume, large-scale industrial coating capacity in the Upper Midwest with Perfection’s aerospace- and defense-qualified metal finishing operations in the Southwest. The businesses now operate under the leadership of a single CEO and provide customers with one point of contact across the three locations.
Day-to-day operations remain unchanged. Customers will continue working with the same teams, facilities and processes while gaining access to additional capabilities and locations.
The combined capabilities include powder coating, liquid coatings, anodizing and conversion coatings, media blasting, surface preparation and Cerakote application. Site- and process-specific qualifications include AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certifications, Nadcap accreditation, ITAR registration and Cerakote certification. The company also lists approved-supplier relationships with several defense and commercial manufacturers.
“Bringing these two companies together under UltiCoat gives our customers something neither of us could offer alone,” said Joaquin “JQ” Salas, CEO. He said customers that previously managed separate vendors and qualification processes can now work through one relationship.
UltiCoat operates 64,000 square feet of coating operations in Green Bay, 32,000 square feet in Phoenix and 15,000 square feet in Tucson. The company said the footprint is intended to shorten freight lanes and add capacity and redundancy across the network.
The new organization expands multi-site capacity for industrial finishing, including powder coating, liquid coatings, pretreatment and surface preparation.
