Enhanced UV LED Systems Raise Irradiance and Tighten Uniformity
Excelitas has introduced an enhanced OmniCure® AC Series UV LED curing platform for adhesives, coatings and inks. The line includes the AC8⁺, AC9⁺ and AC8⁺HD systems, which are designed to increase throughput, improve repeatability and simplify integration into new or existing production lines.
The AC8⁺ provides 10 W/cm² peak irradiance, the AC9⁺ delivers 14 W/cm² and the AC8⁺HD reaches 15 W/cm². New 365 nm wavelength options are available on the AC9⁺ and AC8⁺HD systems.
Module-level LED control enables real-time uniformity adjustments without taking the source offline. Excelitas says manufacturers can maintain better than ±5% uniformity across the curing area and combine multiple heads for larger widths.
The air-cooled systems also offer advanced monitoring, compact mounting and energy consumption up to 60% lower than conventional curing technologies.
