Berger Paints Starts Production at New Solvent-Based Paint Facility

Berger Paints India Ltd. has started commercial production at a new fully automated solvent-based paint manufacturing facility at its existing Hindupur site in Andhra Pradesh, India.
In an exchange disclosure dated Sept. 8, the company said commercial production at the facility would begin Sept. 9. The operation has annual production capacity of 36,000 KL/MT and represents an investment of more than ₹188 crore.
The addition follows another expansion at the Hindupur site earlier this year. Berger began commercial production Feb. 4 at a fully automated resin manufacturing facility with annual capacity of 12,000 metric tons. The company reported an investment of more than ₹78 crore in that project.
The expansion is relevant to coatings manufacturers following investments in solventborne coatings production and manufacturing capacity.
