Cal Poly Opens Registration for 2027 Polymers and Coatings Course

The Kenneth N. Edwards Western Coatings Technology Center at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, has opened registration for its 2027 Winter Polymers and Coatings Short Course.
The one-week program will begin Monday, Feb. 15, at 8 a.m. and conclude Friday, Feb. 19, at noon. It brings together academic and industry experts to address both fundamental principles and applied coatings technology.
The course will place particular emphasis on liquid coatings, including waterborne and solvent-based systems. Other coatings technologies will be discussed to compare their properties and uses with traditional liquid coatings.
Participants will also examine volatile organic compound and air-quality considerations with experts from industry and regulatory agencies. The program is intended for professionals who already have some exposure to the coatings field and a working knowledge of chemistry or related sciences.
The early-bird registration deadline is Jan. 8, 2027. The early rate is $1,900, followed by a regular registration price of $2,000.
