IFS Coatings Adds Indiana Powder Coatings Production Site
IFS Coatings has acquired a 100,000-square-foot production facility in Elkhart as part of a multimillion-dollar expansion of its U.S. manufacturing operations.
The facility will focus on manufacturing powder coatings and metallic finishes. IFS said the investment will expand its production and bonding capabilities, increase the range of colors and finishes it can supply and strengthen regional support for customers across the United States.
“We are strengthening our manufacturing capabilities and significantly increasing our bonded metallic capacity, while expanding our reach and continuing to deliver the quality and service our customers rely on every day,” said Rob Sole, president of IFS Coatings.
The Elkhart operation adds to the company’s existing manufacturing footprint in Texas and Oklahoma. IFS said the facility will create multiple local jobs but did not disclose a startup date, production-capacity figure or specific employment total.
The investment adds direct U.S. manufacturing and bonded-metallic capacity for powder coatings, with relevance to architectural, automotive, appliance, furniture and general-industrial markets.
