Pretreatment Control System Adds Eight-Loop Automation
Henkel has introduced BONDERITE E-CO GUARD and E-CO GUARD+, multiprocess control systems designed to automate monitoring and adjustment of industrial pretreatment processes.
E-CO GUARD+ provides eight independently configurable sensing and control loops for variables including pH, conductivity, temperature and oxidation-reduction potential.
The platform includes Ethernet and Modbus TCP communications for connection with PLC and SCADA systems, along with USB functionality, touchscreen controls and on-screen process graphs.
The controller is housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure for industrial environments. Henkel said the system can be used across cleaning, rinsing and treatment stages to improve consistency and provide operators with centralized process information.
