UV-Curing Platform Adds Telemetry and Modular Controls

GEW has launched EOS, a new power and control platform for its UV curing systems.
The architecture replaces the company’s RHINO Power system and redesigns power supplies, control electronics, cabling and software around a more modular platform.
EOS uses intelligent serialized lampheads that can report operational information and maintenance data. Standard functions include lamp-hour and reflector counters and remote monitoring.
The platform is designed for integration with OEM equipment through modern communications protocols and can be configured as either a flexible component system or a turnkey package.
EOS is also compatible with GEW’s ArcLED hybrid architecture, allowing conventional mercury-arc and LED curing technologies to be used within the same system. UV Systems
Greater curing-system connectivity can give coatings and converting operations more process data while supporting transitions between conventional UV and UV-LED technologies. Explore more PCI coverage of UV coatings.
