Great Lakes Coatings Conference Opens 2027 Call for Speakers

The Great Lakes Coatings Conference has opened its call for speakers for its 2027 event, scheduled for June 8-10 at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
Organizers are seeking technical presentations and posters addressing coatings technologies across a range of applications and performance areas.
Suggested topics include color, gloss, feel and effects; asset protection and process enhancement; battery, hydrogen, biofuel and thermal-management applications; sustainability and carbon footprint; biomimicry and biobased technologies; antimicrobial and stain-resistant coatings; haptics; conductive and other smart coatings; durability and weathering; marine fouling resistance; and drag reduction.
GLCCThe conference theme is “Coalesce in the Midwest.” The biennial event brings together coatings manufacturers, raw-material suppliers, formulators, technical professionals and regional coatings organizations. The previous conference drew 423 attendees, according to the event website.
According to the call-for-speakers announcement, abstracts are due Nov. 20, 2026. Speakers will be notified of acceptance by Jan. 15, 2027, with final presentations or posters due April 16.
The conference will also offer cash awards of $500 for presenters and $100 for poster presenters.
