Pulva Acquires Epworth Manufacturing, Adds Paint Dispersion Mixers

Pulva Corp. has acquired Epworth Manufacturing Co., adding mixing and milling equipment used in paint, coatings, pigment and other industrial production.
Pulva will manufacture and rebuild Epworth equipment at its Valencia, Pennsylvania, headquarters under the Epworth by Pulva name. The acquired equipment line includes high-speed dispersion mixers for paint and coating production as well as dry grinding mills for industrial particle-size reduction.
The company will also provide rebuild services, maintenance support and replacement parts machined to original equipment manufacturer specifications for Epworth equipment already operating worldwide.
Pulva plans to stock wear parts including impellers, housings, seals, gaskets, belts and bearings. It also plans to add an Epworth paint dispersion mixer to its on-site test laboratory.
The acquisition expands Pulva's lineup of milling, grinding, feeding and other process equipment serving paint, pigments, adhesives, plastics and related manufacturing sectors.
Dispersion and particle-size reduction equipment can directly affect pigment wetting, color development, consistency and plant throughput. Follow PCI's Paint and Coating Equipment coverage for more manufacturing technology.
