Oxea Adjusts North American Freight Adders for Truck and Rail Shipments

Oxea will adjust its freight adders for truck and rail shipments in North America effective Nov. 1, 2026, or as contracts allow.
The company cited rising diesel fuel costs and the resulting increase in transportation expenses.
Under the new schedule, the freight adder for truck shipments will be $0.035 per pound. The freight adder for rail shipments will be $0.019 per pound.
Oxea manufactures oxo intermediates and oxo performance chemicals including alcohols, polyols, carboxylic acids, specialty esters and amines used in coatings, inks and other industrial applications.
The company said account managers will provide customers with additional details.
Freight adders can increase delivered raw-material costs even when base chemical pricing is unchanged. The move follows several recent Oxea pricing actions tracked in PCI's Price Alerts coverage, including its September oxo-intermediates increases.
