PORTLAND, ME - Intertech announced plans for its ninth international colorants conference, "High Performance & Functional Pigments 2003," scheduled for April 28-30, at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Buckhead Hotel, Atlanta.

The conference will offer a comprehensive overview of advanced technologies and emerging markets for high-performance pigments - materials described as possessing superior properties of environmental compatibility, weather resistance, optical effects, or high use value, event organizers said.

The conference co-chairmen will be Paul Czornij, manager of Pigments and Dispersions at BASF Coatings, and Hugh Smith, senior staff consultant at Sun Chemical Corp.

Specific program topics will include a briefing on market trends by region and sector; new pigment technologies; international regulatory issues; and trends in end-use markets with significant near-term growth potential.
