INVISTA Specialty Intermediates, formerly DuPont Textiles and Intermediates, appointed a leadership team for its DBE specialty esters business, a supplier of dibasic esters used in coatings and other products. The team, based in Wilmington, DE, is headed by Business Director Nadine deVries, who has overall responsibility for the North American DBE business. She joined DuPont in 1992 and has held various positions in the company's nylon and specialty-chemicals businesses. Also named to the team were Product and Marketing Manager Melinda Burn, Senior Account Manager Mark Myers, Distribution Manager Jenna Ngian, and Regulatory Compliance Manager Kathleen O'Keefe. Myers is responsible for direct DBE sales in North America, and Ngian is responsible for coordinating distributor sales in the United States.

Tony Melone has joined Alar Engineering Corp. , a supplier of wastewater-treatment systems, as Southeast Regional Sales manager. Melone has 10 years of experience in sales of chemicals and equipment.

Raabe Corp. has named Mary Olson Sales coordinator, Specialty Markets, with responsibility for assisting the company's custom-aerosol and liquid-packaging sales team.

W.R. Grace & Co. named Gregory E. Poling president of the company's newly formed Grace Davison Specialty Materials business. He assumes responsibility for the operation of Grace Davison's Silica Products, Polyolefin, Chemical Catalysts and Separations businesses, which have been combined to form the Specialty Materials business. Poling was formerly vice president and general manager, Silica Products, and joined Grace's Construction Products unit 27 years ago. He has held management positions in sales, marketing and business development with several Grace businesses.

Sartomer Co. has promoted Kevin W. Rice to Agents/Distributors Relations manager for the United States, Christopher M. Stretch to Technical Sales representative for the company's West territory, and Stephane Thion to Sales manager, Latin America and Canada. Michael J. McQuade has joined the company as a Technical Sales representative for the company's Mid-Central region. Rice joined Sartomer in 1997 and has been a Technical Sales representative in the company's West and Southwest territories. Stretch assumes responsibility for sales in California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Arizona and Nevada. He has been a Technical Sales representative with Sartomer since joining the company in 2001. Thion was formerly Sales manager for Sartomer's Norsolene hydrocarbon resins, and joined the company in 1997. McQuade assumes technical sales responsibility for a territory that includes Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee. He has more than 20 years of technical service and sales experience, most recently with Surface Specialties UCB.

Bruce Seeber has joined BYK-Chemie USA as Sales manager of the company's paint additives division, with responsibility for the division's sales and agent/distributor network in the NAFTA region. Seeber formerly held sales, marketing and purchasing positions with Degussa Corp.'s colorants, resins, crosslinkers and methacrylates businesses.

Renee Shreves has joined Quaker Color as Sales & Marketing manager. She was formerly with Bayer Corp. and has 14 years' experience in the coatings and plastics industries. Quaker Color is a supplier of pigment dispersions and waterborne polyurethane resins.

Deborah L. Zopel has joined Fitz Chem Corp. , Itasca, IL, as a Customer Service representative. Zopel has 10 years' experience in the chemical distribution industry in the Chicago area.
