BLACKBURN, UK — Becker Industrial Coatings, based in Sweden, has acquired the South African company Advanced Coatings from Dekro Paints (Pty) Ltd. Advanced Coatings, a coil-coatings supplier, will be headed by managing director Gerulf Naglitsch, formerly of Becker’s Coil Coatings Group.
As a result of a review of its South African operations, the company also said it has terminated a license agreement with Plascon. Separately, Becker said it has terminated a license agreement in Malaysia with PAR and has launched a wholly owned Malaysian subsidiary, Becker Industrial Coatings (M) Sdn. Bhd.
