CLEVELAND - ICI Paints announced a three-month program encouraging customers and employees of the company's eight Cleveland-area stores to support the Red Cross's "Together, We Prepare" initiative.

ICI Paints also announced a cash donation of $1,000 and 150 gallons of paint to the American Red Cross, Greater Cleveland Chapter. The donation will be used to paint the chapter's headquarters in anticipation of its 100th anniversary celebration in 2005.

The ICI program, titled "If You Give A Pint, We'll Give A Gallon," is one of 10 identical programs being launched around the country at ICI Paints' annual ProShows for professional painting contractors.

The joint Red Cross/ICI Program encourages local painting contractors, ICI Paints employees and visitors to local ICI Paints stores to support the Red Cross's "Together, We Prepare" initiative by signing a pledge card to prepare for emergencies before they occur through a six-step awareness and participatory program.
