PRINCETON, NJ – The sixth annual essential2®life 5K, held April 7, 2012, raised more than $26,000 for the American Red Cross. Presented by the member companies of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and Chemistry Council of New Jersey, more than 1,000 participated in the event held at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. The event included a 5K run, a 3K walk and children’s races.

The essential2®life 5K aims to highlight the importance of chemistry in everyday life, as well as its contribution to the overall health of the economy. Since its inception in 2007, the essential2®life 5K has raised more than $150,000 to benefit the American Red Cross.
