PITTSBURGH - Pittcon (The Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy) announced that preregistration is now open for Pittcon 2006, scheduled for March 12-17, Orlando, Fla. Conferees registering by Feb. 12, 2006, can save 50% on registration fees.

Pittcon is the largest educational conference on laboratory science, and is the premier meeting place for scientists and vendors of instrumentation and laboratory supplies worldwide. Presented annually by the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh and the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh, the conference features cutting-edge technical programs, informative short courses, an extensive exposition of laboratory equipment, and more.

Pittcon 2006 will present more than 50 invited technical symposia on current topics. Organizers expect more than 1,000 vendors to demonstrate the latest cutting-edge instrumentation and laboratory products used across a variety of disciplines. Several changes have been made, including the revamping of technical sessions that will allow exhibitors and conferees more time to interact, discuss technical applications and network with their colleagues.

Pittcon 2006 will also include a New Product Forum, over 100 educational short courses, several plenary sessions and workshops, poster sessions, and an employment center. Visit www.pittcon.org for the full description of the technical program and exhibitor list.
